Spread bread slices with butter or margarine. Cut bread in 1/2-inch cubes; set aside. In a large bowl, combine milk, eggs, salt and several dashes of hot pepper sauce; stir in bread cubes, cheese, corn and chilies. Turn into an 8 x 8 x 2-inch baking dish. Let stand for 1 hour at room temperature. Bake in a 350° oven for 55 to 60 minutes or until knife comes out clean in center. Serves 6.
