Cook potatoes (unpeeled), until tender. Cool, peel and cube. Sprinkle with 1 teaspoon salt, combined cottage cheese, sour cream, onion and garlic, which has been crushed thoroughly with the rest of salt (use less salt if you want to). Fold in potatoes and pour in buttered 1 1/2-quart casserole. Top with cheese and sprinkle with paprika. Bake in 350° oven for 40 to 45 minutes, until browned on top.
